Western Water Co. announces management changes in corporate consolidation

POINT RICHMOND, Calif., Dec. 5, 2003 -- Western Water Co. announced that, as part of its previously announced efforts to reduce operating expenses and consolidate its administrative operations, the full-time position previously held by James E. Sherman, executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer will be eliminated, effective December 20, 2003.

Sherman's title and responsibilities as chief financial officer will be assumed by Michael Patrick George, who will also continue to serve as the Company's chairman, president and chief executive officer. Upon Sherman's departure, Elizabeth C. Banning will become secretary of the Company.

Western Water Company is engaged in the identification, development, transportation, sale and lease of water rights and water to municipalities and other end users in the western United States and owns water rights and real estate in California and Colorado.
