Itron appoints new Users' Advisory Board Members

SPOKANE, WA, Feb. 23, 2006 -- Itron Inc. announced today the addition of eight new members to the 2006 Itron Users' Advisory Board. The board is responsible for planning and setting the agenda for the yearly Itron Users' Conference, one of the most important industry events sponsored by Itron for its customers.

The 19 board members represent all aspects of the energy and water industries, including cooperatives, municipalities, investor-owned utilities, independent system operators and commercial and industrial energy users. Board members plan workshops and recruit speakers for the more than 160 work sessions geared for mid- and high-level representatives from utilities around the world.

The new board members include:

• Jim (Cork) Smith, ESB, Wilton, Cork, Ireland
• Bob Stolarski, Puget Sound Energy, Bellevue, WA

The new members join 11 veteran Itron Users' Advisory Board members, including John Gasstrom (2006 chairperson) with Georgia Systems Operations Corporation, Ron Bishop, Tampa Electric Company, Lynnette Cervone, Southwest Gas Corp, Michael Hogan, Philadelphia Water Department, Jayme Hobe, Salt River Project, Dan OConnor, ISO New England, Michael Purtell, NYSEG and RG&E, Philip Spaulding, Xcel Energy, Patrick Vinton, ERCOT Inc, Art Lomeli, City of Peoriz and Brian White, Snohomish Co. PUD.

The 24th annual Itron Users' Conference will be held Oct. 15-17 in Palm Springs, CA.
