Atwell-Hicks merges with land planning firm
SOLON, OH, Sept. 10, 2007 -- Award winning, land development consulting firm Atwell-Hicks has merged with Kerr + Boron Associates Inc., a Brecksville, OH-based, design firm specializing in land planning, landscape architecture and environmental design. The merger is a result of Atwell-Hicks' continued expansion efforts and Kerr + Boron's desire to continue their growth. Kerr + Boron's employees will now operate within Atwell-Hicks and relocate to the Atwell-Hicks office in Solon. The merger is part of Atwell-Hicks' 2007 expansion efforts. The firm, which has project experience in 38 states, will continue to increase its capabilities and operations while identifying additional growth opportunities.

Eco-Tec wins Global Traders Award

AUMA appoints new service engineer

Grontmij expands Scottish presence
Aug. 30, 2007 -- European engineering consultancy Grontmij is developing its Scottish offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow and creating more than 100 jobs. The company, which is more than doubling its Glasgow office space to 19,000 sq feet, will be able to offer a wider range of skills and services to its clients in Scotland, with new recruits in teams from its transportation, water, building and environment, and systems areas of expertise. IWA rewards leadership for young professionals' development
Aug. 22, 2007 -- In the developed world, 50 per cent of water professionals will retire in the next 5 to 10 years, and each year a smaller percentage of students (or young professionals) are attracted to a career in the water. This was the motivation for the International Water Association to launch IWA's Professional Development Award in 2006. This award, presented in association with my-water-career.com, recognises companies in the water sector that are making a significant contribution to the professional development of employees under 35 years of age. The nomination period for the 2008 award runs from the 12 August 2007 until April 2008. CIWEM approves SLR training scheme
