TALLASSEE, AL, Nov. 12, 2007 -- Central Vermont Public Service (CVP) has selected Neptune Technology Group Inc. to implement Neptune's FieldNet utility field service automation suite.
CVPS is an investor-owned electric utility serving 158,000 customers in 152 communities throughout Vermont. With the FieldNet system, CVPS will have a state-of-the-art; highly adaptable system to further enhance its current meter reading operations while also providing a platform to support future field service needs.

With the many unknowns about future AMI requirements and implementation timelines, CVPS sought a solution that was highly adaptable to help support whatever AMI direction CVPS took.
