VANTAA, Finland, Feb. 27, 2008 -- Pöyry has been awarded a consultancy assignment in a water sector project in Vietnam, financed by the World Bank. The total value of the assignment is about EUR 2.5 million.
Pöyry has been assigned to provide technical assistance in project preparation to the governmental Central Project Unit under the Ministry of Construction for provision of piped water supplies in selected district towns, which presently have little or no piped supply. The assignment also consists of technical assistance to provincial project management units and management support to water supply companies in four large urban areas to improve their performance and expand their water supply coverage. The provision of services begins in Feb. 2008 and the duration of the assignment is four years.
