Industrial wastewater treatment plants planned in Africa

CHENNAI, India, June 28, 2010 -- Shivsu Canadian Clear International Ltd, a leading water technology solution provider, has completed an order worth USD 6 million from the private organizations and Government of Africa to set up industrial wastewater treatment plants in Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. The company will be involved in design, manufacture, supply and installation of the plants.

Capable of treating effluents conforming to NEMA (National Environment Management Authority) standards, the plants work adapting latest and proven `membrane bio-reactor with advanced oxidation process' technology and will be supplied to sugarcane, distillery, tannery, textiles and paint industries, of capacities 450 KLD (kilo liters a day), 1.2 MLD (million liters a day) and 2.5 MLD.

These plants can run 24x7 requiring minimum maintenance for constant results. Energy consumption is low. Commissioning of plants is on a turnkey basis requiring a minimum period of 10-11 months, from the day of order. Operation and maintenance will be carried out by Shivsu Canadian Clear International Limited, parent company of Canadian Clear Water FZC, Kenya.
