ATLANTA, GA, July 31, 2012 -- Ecologix Environmental Systems, an Atlanta-based wastewater treatment technology company, has successfully implemented its new, pre-fabricated Zeo-Clear wastewater treatment system. Chevron Mining, a subsidiary of Chevron, the second-largest U.S.-based integrated energy company, has installed the Zeo-Clear Zeo 20 system to treat up to 15,000 gallons of sewage per day for as many as 300 workers in a remote camp at its Questa, New Mexico, mining camp.

The "plug-and-play" Zeo-Clear system removes the need for costly infrastructure and saves time in making remote worksites, communities, camps and resorts operational. Built into standard ISO 20' and ISO 40' containers for easy global shipping, Zeo-Clear Systems can be installed and brought online in a fraction of the time it would take to build a dedicated wastewater treatment facility at a remote worksite, in as few as two weeks. The self-contained unit also provides a significant savings in capital and operation expenses. The uniquely designed aeration and media filtration system is more efficient, delivering an average reduction in energy costs of 20 percent.

"Wastewater treatment is the single biggest concern for companies seeking to do business in remote areas. With the Zeo-Clear solution, we empower companies to move quickly into new regions and maintain a competitive advantage," said Eli Gruber, chief executive officer, Ecologix Systems.

In November 2012, Odebrecht, a $33 billion, privately held oil and gas, construction and engineering firm, will install a Zeo-Clear Zeo-20 system to treat wastewater at its mining operation in Guinea.

"The Zeo-Clear system is completely off the grid, self-sustainable and portable, making the most remote locations in the world feasible places to do business," added Gruber.

About Zeo-Clear
Ecologix Zeo-Clear systems support temporary populations and working camps of up to 300 (Zeo-20 model) or 600 (Zeo-40 model) people, processing up to 15,000 or 30,000 gallons of wastewater per day, respectively. By improving water treatment procedures, companies can improve worker safety and health in remote working environments, reduce water transportation costs and better protect the remote environments where they operate.

The system is completely pre-wired and pre-plumbed, and features natural Zeolite -- a mineral that reduces total suspended solids and biochemical oxygen demand in treated water. Zeolite also acts as an ion exchange media, eliminating all ammonia content in treated water without the need for a typical nitrification and de-nitrification process.

Wastewater treated in the Zeo-Clear systems can be safely discharged into local waterways. Additional components can be integrated with the Zeo-Clear to allow for irrigation and in-home usage, like laundry and dishwashing.
