Austin, TX, Oct. 26, 2012 -- The first-ever company to apply for the permit, their Studios at Carrizo Springs lodge, located in the Eagle Ford Shale Play region, becomes the first workforce housing facility able to recycle graywater in the state of Texas.

The Chapter 210 permit allows Signor to recycle the 480-bed lodge’s graywater, enabling them to repurpose the water for pasture, crop and landscape irrigation around the lodge without having to use any additional water from the well.

“Having a 210 permit is a huge plus,” says Signor Founder and Chief Executive Officer Clay Signor. “It enables us to conserve and reuse water that might otherwise go to waste or to a sewer plant. With the major droughts and growing population across the United States, we think recycling graywater should become a common practice in all cities and rural communities.”

Acknowledging the environmental impact of his industry’s water usage, Signor hopes to set a precedent for the industry and already has plans to apply for permits for the company’s other lodges.
