VANCOUVER, WA, April 18, 2014 -- Section 15-1 of the Integrated Pipeline Project (IPL) -- a more than $2-billion water distribution endeavor that will increase the volume of water disbursed between the Dallas-Fort Worth region and a variety of lakes throughout East Texas -- will receive 81,958 feet of 108-inch diameter, cement mortar-lined and polyurethane-coated, spiral-welded steel pipe.

Provided by Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX), a supplier of engineered welded steel pipe products, the pipeline will transport raw water and provide new infrastructure capacity for the area. Likewise, the construction contract for the installation has been awarded to Garney Construction out of Kansas City, Mo.

"The IPL project is a very important award for Northwest Pipe Company," said Eric Stokes, Vice President of Sales - East Region. "We are excited to be part of such a critical water supply that will support the growing water needs within Texas."

The Integrated Pipeline Project is anticipated to be completed mid-March 2016 and is jointly owned by Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) and Dallas Water Utilities.
