NAWC names Grand Prize Winner of 2014 Living Water Award

At its 2014 Water Summit, the National Association of Water Companies recognized Duyen Tran of CH2M HILL as the Grand Prize Winner for the 2014 NAWC Living Water Award.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, Oct. 8, 2014 -- At its 2014 Water Summit in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) recognized Duyen Tran of CH2M HILL, a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, as the Grand Prize Winner for the 2014 NAWC Living Water Award.

The NAWC Living Water Awards program, established in 2012, celebrates exemplary private water industry professionals who are "living water" through their commitment to quality, service and community. The Grand Prize winner was selected from three finalists who were named throughout the last year.

"Duyen is recognized throughout the industry for her commitment to educating and promoting the value of clean water in her community, and she is a role model for all of us," said Michael Deane, NAWC executive director. "The Living Water Awards recognize the exceptional work of water industry professionals throughout our nation, and Duyen is truly deserving of this prestigious award."

Currently serving as the director of sustainable operations in CH2M HILL's Operations Management Services group, where she has spent 25 of her 28 years in the industry, Tran resides in Fayetteville, Ark. As project manager in Fayetteville, she has led initiatives such as educating businesses and the industry about the importance of water treatment, as well as organizing annual household hazardous waste collection events. CH2M HILL is an NAWC member company responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities in Fayetteville.

Tran has previously been recognized as Wastewater Manager of the Year by both the Arkansas Water Environment Association and the Northwest District Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Federation and is a recipient of the AWW&WEA Individual Achievement Award. She was also confirmed as the 2014-2015 Water Environment Federation House of Delegates Speaker of the House at WEFTEC in September.
