Synagro Technologies announced that Stephen W. Cole has been named president and CEO of the company, bringing significant experience leading public, private and private equity organizations of international scope.

BALTIMORE, MD, Nov. 4, 2014 -- On Thursday, Oct. 30, Synagro Technologies, the nation's largest recycler of organic residuals, announced that Stephen W. Cole has been named president and CEO of the company, bringing significant experience leading public, private and private equity organizations of international scope.

Cole offers executive experience leading sales, marketing, manufacturing operations, business development, and logistics functions within all stages of the business cycle.

Previously, Cole served as an industrial advisor for EQT Holdings/EQT Partners, advising the firm as it sought to invest in companies across the world and helping them develop into sustainable companies. Prior to EQT, he was president and CEO of SVM, Inc., a $400-million chemicals company with 800 employees.

Cole holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Oregon State University and attended Columbia University's Executive Education Programs in Finance and Marketing.
