Neptune Benson has officially announced the acquisition of Sonitec Vortisand Inc.

COVENTRY, RI, April 10, 2015 -- Neptune-Benson, a supplier of engineered products serving the aquatics, industrial and municipal markets, has officially announced the acquisition of Sonitec Vortisand Inc.

Founded in 1986 and based in Montreal, Canada, Sonitec engineers and manufactures submicron automatic sand filtration products serving the industrial process water treatment market.

Sonitec's patented H2Flow filter is uniquely positioned to solve filtration challenges on applications with higher flow rates while substantially reducing equipment footprint and providing significant water savings versus traditional filters.

"The acquisition of Sonitec expands Neptune's presence in the industrial process markets and compliments our ETS UV product line with many applications in industrial process water treatment," said Kenneth Rodi, Neptune-Benson CEO.

Denis Deschenes and Maurice Piché, co-owners of Sonitec, added, "The synergies with Neptune-Benson's sales network and the depth of Audax Group resources will accelerate the market penetration of Sonitec and provide the company with a strong base in the USA."
