Sensus announces opening of new China meter manufacturing, assembly facility

Sensus announced that it has opened a new meter manufacturing and assembly facility in the city of Fuzhou in the Fujian Province of the People's Republic of China.

RALEIGH, NC, April 28, 2015 -- Sensus, a clean technology company specializing in smart meters, software and services and communication systems, announced that it has opened a new meter manufacturing and assembly facility in the city of Fuzhou in the Fujian Province of the People's Republic of China.

The facility, with capacity to produce 150,000 meters annually, will meet the growing demand for advanced meters in China, Southeast Asia and other markets.

The manufacturing and assembling facility, which went into operation in February this year, is where the WPD, WSD, MeiTwin, and 420PC meters are now produced.

The Fuzhou facility will meet demand for Sensus meters in Asia -- including China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam -- as well as Oceania, South America and Europe.
