GRAZ, AUSTRIA, June 18, 2015 -- Kore Infrastructure, a disposal management solution that transforms biosolids into energy resources, has issued an order for International technology Group ANDRITZ to supply a paddle dryer for a biosolids recovery plant currently under construction in the city of Rialto, Calif.

In the plant, biosolids from wastewater facilities in Los Angeles that have normally gone to landfill will be converted into biodiesel and biochar. Startup is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.

The ANDRITZ SEPARATION dryer will reduce the biosolids volume by up to 80 percent, while preserving its energy content for further recovery. With its efficiency and more than 200 installations worldwide, the paddle dryer was an ideal choice for this project.
