PITTSBURGH & COVENTRY, RI, AUGUST 8, 2016 -- Evoqua Water Technologies and its recently acquired Neptune-Benson business today announced the acquisition of Delta Ultraviolet Corporation (Delta UV), a leading manufacturer and marketer of UV-C technology, in North America from Bio UV SAS. The business is based in Gardena, Calif., and terms were not disclosed.

UV-C is a versatile technology used to disinfect water and destroy harmful micro-organisms in other liquids. With UV-C technology it is possible to reliably destroy or inactivate up to 99.99% or more of pathogens within seconds, without addition of chemicals.

Delta UV, founded in 1999, has developed an award-winning range of UV systems providing water treatment solutions for pool and spa applications.

The acquisition adds Delta’s UV systems to Evoqua and Neptune Benson’s portfolio of UV solutions, including ETS-UV systems and Wallace & Tiernan brand Barrier® UV products. The addition of Delta UV complements this range of existing UV offerings. Evoqua and Neptune Benson will now offer UV solutions for a large variety of applications, ranging from Municipal, Industrial, Recreational and Residential water applications.

"We are pleased to welcome Delta UV to the Neptune Benson and Evoqua family," said Ken Rodi, President of Evoqua’s Neptune Benson business. "We’re excited to add another strong UV solution to our offerings, giving our customers more choices when it comes to their water disinfection needs."

Together, the two companies filter, disinfect, treat, and improve billions of gallons of water in the industrial, municipal and recreational water markets. Tens of millions of people and thousands of companies rely on Evoqua and Neptune Benson to help them meet their needs for clean water.

Benoit Gillmann, CEO of Bio UV, said, "The teaming of Delta UV with Evoqua and Neptune Benson’s portfolio will lead to the next chapter of growth for the Delta brand. I’d like to thank the dedicated employees with whom we’ve had the privilege of working."
