ST. LOUIS, OCTOBER 3, 2016 -- Aclara, a world-class supplier of smart infrastructure technologies to water, gas and electric utilities globally, announced today that it will relocate its corporate headquarters toWestport Plaza in St. Louis from its current location in Hazelwood, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. The lease for 63,000 square feet of space at 77 Westport Plaza was signed this week, with the move planned for the Spring of 2017. In addition to its corporate offices, Aclara will move its research, development and testing lab to the new location.
Westport Plaza is a landmark 42-acre business and entertainment district in St. Louis that is home to some of the leading businesses in the area.

Our new corporate headquarters at Westport Plaza will provide the space, flexibility, location, and collaborative environment that reflect our needs as an innovative company with an increased global presence. With a total of 900,000 square feet in the complex, Westport Plaza also provides access to additional space should our continued growth require expanded facilities," said Kurt Bruenning, Chief Financial Officer, Aclara.

With the addition of Aclara, the complex is more than 90% leased with a daytime population of more than 5,000 people," said Craig Cobler, senior vice president of development for Lodging Hospitality Management (LHM), which manages Westport Plaza.
Aclara was represented by real estate consultants Michael Cummings, Grant Rich, and Tony Kennedy of Colliers International, an industry leading global real estate services company with more than 16,000 skilled professionals operating in 66 countries.
