Chemical metering

Watson-Marlow has introduced its new Qdos 30 pump range. The chemical metering system eliminates ancillary equipment, enhances productivity, and reduces chemical waste through more accurate, linear, and repeatable metering than typical solenoid or stepper driven diaphragm metering pumps. The pumps deliver 5,000:1 flow from 0.002 to 8.0 gph at 100 psi while integrating easily through IP66 manual, analog, and PROFIBUS control options. Featuring patented ReNu pumphead technology, the pumps are fully sealed for safe, tool-free maintenance.

Hose pump

Bredel has introduced its new APEX range, an optimized pump designed to suit all dosing, metering and transfer duties between 0.7 - 317 gph. The hose pumps have no expensive wearing components such as seals, valves, membranes, stators, rotors or glands to maintain. They are suited for handling difficult fluids -- corrosive, viscous, shear-sensitive, gaseous, crystallizing or even fluids with a combination of these properties.

Centrifugal pumps

Blackmer® System One® centrifugal pumps are designed for high-volume, severe-duty applications. Designed around the seal where 90% of pump failures occur, the pumps have a stiffer heavy-duty shaft and larger bearings resulting in the widest operational window off the Best Efficiency Point (BEP) than any standard process pump. This means facility operators can expect the pumps to improve mean time between failures to reduce maintenance costs.

Pump controller

Xylem has launched a next-generation pump controller that provides a clear view of a plant's energy consumption and the true cost of pumping operations. Unlike general purpose PLC systems, the Flygt APP 800 is specifically engineered to control water and wastewater transport systems. An embedded web server gives operators access to critical data from anywhere allowing them to monitor equipment, troubleshoot and identify trends, diagnose and resolve issues quickly, all from a remote location.

Wastewater pump

KSB now offers the Sewatec dry-installed volute casing pump. Used for wastewater transport and treatment, sludge handling, and stormwater applications, the pump features a flexible hydraulic design to meet a multitude of conditions. The Sewatec dry pump line is a derivative of the KRT line of submersible pumps (also available from KSB). Because Sewatec's impellers, bearings, mechanical seals, O-rings and discharge covers are interchangeable with the KRT line, inventory streamlining is easy for customers that also use KRT wet well pumps.
