The Hybacs process, available from Infilco Degremont, is an economical and versatile approach to nutrient removal. The process consists of two biological stages followed by clarification. The first stage comprises Smart™ units and the second stage comprises activated sludge tanks. The Smart units use shaft mounted advanced reactor technology featuring a series of plates.
