The latest in water quality research, technology and services will be on display October 29 through November 2 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., during WEFTEC®.05, the Water Environment Federation’s 78th annual technical exhibition and conference.

Ranked in the top 1% of all trade shows in North America, WEFTEC®.05 is a mega-show that is expected to draw over 16,000 attendees and nearly 800 exhibiting companies. Attendees can choose from 110 technical sessions, 24 workshops and 11 facility tours to design their own learning experience and gain insights into developments, regulations, and research, as well as emerging technologies and proven approaches to everyday water quality challenges.

This year’s Washington, DC, location has inspired a greater national and international policy focus and will offer attendees direct exposure to Capitol Hill.

The event “promises wonderful opportunities for lawmakers and other government officials to interact directly with WEF members and learn more about what water professionals do for their communities and country,” said WEF President Lynn Orphan. “In turn, WEF members and WEFTEC® attendees will have the opportunity to visit Capitol Hill to discuss water issues face-to-face with their representatives in the House and Senate.”

Other conference highlights include the Opening General Session, the intense skills competition of Operations Challenge 2005, AEESP/WEF Scientist Luncheon and Lecture, WEFTeach, Global Center, poster presentations, award presentations, WEFFilms luncheon program, student activities, and much more.
