On-site sodium hypochlorite

Severn Trent Services' ClorTec® on-site sodium hypochlorite generating systems range in capacity up to 3,000+ lb/day. They generate a 0.8% sodium hypochlorite solution by combining salt, water and electricity. On-site generation of hypochlorite eliminates the risk associated with purchase, transportation and handling of hazardous chemicals as salt is the only raw material purchased and delivered to the site. The solution generated on site is a dilute concentration of sodium hypochlorite with a consistent strength that is easier for operators to dose.

Flowmeter

The Accusonic Model 7720 Transit-Time flowmeter is designed to address the difficult installation requirements common to large ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems. The maximum 10 path capability allows the meter to measure with accuracy and repeatability in the presence of distorted flow profiles common to large UV system installations. Additionally, the pipe section length required to install the meter is significantly less than other flow measurement technologies for large pipe installations. Measurable pipe/channel sizes range from 8" to 500'. Using multiple-path, chordal, transit-time technology, achievable accuracy is ± 0.5% in full pipes and ± 2.0% in partially full pipes and channels.

Motor control

With the Replacement Motor Control Center Buckets from Square D by Schneider Electric, almost all MCCs can be upgraded and retrofitted without the need to replace the entire MCC. By retrofitting instead of replacing an existing MCC, upgrade costs are reduced by reusing old enclosure and bussing material. Time is also saved since simply retrofitting is quicker than replacing one. Retrofitting a bucket for an MCC means replacement parts will be readily available, while also effectively bringing the MCC up to current industry standards.
