Valve actuators

Rotork CQ pneumatic and hydraulic valve actuators are engineered to deliver a self-contained solution for applications demanding functional integrity and safety where space is limited. They incorporate a fully concentric, balanced, compact design that provides reduced dimensions when compared with conventional scotch-yoke actuators. The CQ's symmetric design is totally enclosed with a rugged, waterproof housing, which contains a helical mechanism that transforms linear piston motion into 90º (+/-5º) rotation for the operation of quarter-turn valves. Output torques up to 600,000 Nm (5.3 million lbf-in) are available, and customization of the torque profile is available to suit individual valve requirements.

Piercing tool

TT Technologies' Grundomat piercing tool is constructed from durable hardened alloy steel and machined components for maximum power
and precision. Equipped with a reversing and in-line lubrication system, the tool serves as an economical alternative to larger, more expensive directional drilling equipment. Suitable for economical last-mile installation, the Grundomat's reciprocating stepped-cone chisel-head ensures high-impact accuracy using a two-stroke action, meaning the piston's impact is concentrated on the reciprocating tool head for optimum boring performance. The Grundomat is available in 16 models ranging from 1 3/4" to 7" in diameter for horizontal boring distances from 50 to 150 feet.

Stormwater drawing program

CULTEC has released StormGenie® v.2.5, the newest version of its automated drawing program. StormGenie is a convenient AutoCAD® plug-in tool used by engineers, contractors and landscape architects to quickly create preliminary stormwater system proposals and final designs and generate project-specific drawings for the company's Contactor® and Recharger® stormwater chambers. It can take information from either the Stormwater Design Calculator or HydroCAD's Chamber Wizard to create the proposed system in AutoCAD. The generated drawing is fully functional and can be modified and incorporated into existing plans. StormGenie automatically creates drawings that include project-specific designs, accurate center-to-center spacing and dimensional call-outs.

Fittings

The push-in design of the new Thomas & Betts Quick-Connect™ Liquidtight Fittings reduces installation from six steps to two easy steps, making installation onto Liquidtight flexible metal conduit faster and easier. The fittings feature captive sealing rings available from 3/8" to 1", in straight 45˚ and 90˚ configurations, and they install up to three times faster than standard Liquidtight fittings. The two-step process simplifies fitting installations to flexible conduit, while providing the high performance that Liquidtight applications demand. Further, the simplicity of installing the fittings reduces the likelihood of components being dropped, lost or damaged.
