Whether for standard digital or analog input modules or controlling actuators via digital or analog output modules, the Type 8647 AirLINE SP valve island from Bürkert comes in one compact, high-performance automation system.

Developed for use in a variety of water treatment systems, the valve island is compatible with the Siemens I/O system SIMATIC ET 200SP. The valve island can be mounted inside the control cabinet together with different Siemens modules and can be directly connected to the Siemens I/O system. This enables fast and seamless installation and monitoring in an existing system.

The valve island features pressure sensors and an LCD display, featuring icons and plain text to show valuable information at the device, making it quicker and easier to determine errors in the process. Ring topology and Bürkert’s Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) prevent total failure in case a single device/communication client fails. In combination with Siemens modules, the valve island can also implement fail-safe automation tasks to save time during installation and during routine maintenance.

The new Type 8647 AirLINE SP valve island from Bürkert is compatible with the Siemens I/O system SIMATIC ET 200SP and provides important functions for maximum process reliability.

Like all Bürkert valve islands, the Type 8647 features check valves in the exhaust duct, which prevents pressure peaks and ensures that pilot valves and actuators operate reliably. Unwanted media mixing is impossible with this feature. Additionally, thanks to a hot-swap function, operators can replace valves during plant operation, eliminating downtime.

Bürkert Fluid Control Systems manufactures measuring, control and regulating systems for liquids and gases. Bürkert products are used in a wide range of industries and applications. The company offers all fluid control system components, from solenoid valves to process and analytical valves, from pneumatic actuators to sensors. Learn more at burkert.com.
