SEOUL, South Korea - LG Water Solutions, part of LG Chem has introduced an anti-fouling (AF) brackish water reverse osmosis (RO) membrane.
Called the LG BW 400 AFR, the membrane includes a proprietary chemistry that reduces performance deterioration due to organic and biological fouling, a common problem in various water treatment applications.
The company said the membranes are ideally suited for applications with high fouling potential such as wastewater reuse and reclamation, industrial wastewater treatment and RO brine recovery.
“Our new AF membranes represent real innovation in anti-fouling technology,” said Dr. Hoon Hyung, VP of project engineering for LG Water Solutions.
“We have maintained the membrane’s performance while delivering excellent fouling resistance. So even for challenging feed water with high fouling potential, customers can expect reliable system operation without compromising system productivity or product quality.”
