Guernsey, UK –De Nora will provide operation support to utility Guernsey Water’s five key drinking water facilities on the island after achieving ‘Approved Contractor’ status.

The Italian water technology company was awarded the accolade following an assessment of its health and safety processes and procedures.

Having worked with Guernsey Water for the last nine years, De Nora previously provided its gas feed disinfection technology and on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems.

De Nora operates two principal divisions: electrode technologies and water technologies.

It was in July 2015 when De Nora made headlines in the global water market with the acquisition of Severn Trent Services.

Earlier this year the company attracted investment from asset management company the Blackstone Group.

Mark Walker, capital delivery manager of Guernsey Water, said: “We are pleased that De Nora has been included on our list of Approved Contractors for Health & Safety; it demonstrates their commitment to undertaking work in a considered and safe way and provides us with assurance that all the necessary H&S laws, directives and guidelines are being adhered to.”
