Feb. 24, 2004 -- Biocube, LLC is pleased to announce that it has closed on a round of equity from a group of Western New York private investors.
The Rochester, NY based company provides biological solutions for eliminating odors from air emissions. Their proprietary biofiltration process utilizes organic materials to naturally adsorb odors from municipal waste treatment applications. The company currently employs ten people and has over 300 installations throughout the world.
Herbert Ego, Biocube president notes, "With this cash infusion, the opportunities for rapidly expanding our business are substantial. We have a strong market position in North America and are beginning to successfully penetrate international markets. Furthermore, we are now better poised to aggressively market and support the recent introduction of our BMF-12 Odor Removal System. As these factors begin to play out, our growth curve is projected to be quite sharp".
Specifically designed to address higher volume biofiltration applications from a smaller footprint, the BMF-12 Odor Control System accounts for a significant part of Biocube¹s recent activity spike. The highest capacity system in the Biocube line, a single BMF unit treats volumes from 1000 5000 cfm and concentrations up to 250 ppm.
With Biocube's municipal wastewater line effectively covering applications from street-level nuisance odors to lift stations to small waste treatment plants, the new funding will further allow Biocube to undertake the new product development required to diversify into industrial applications, as well as broaden its reach overseas. With a firm US foothold as a leader in biofiltration technology, plans are underway to begin marketing Biocube in Eastern Europe, the Pacific Rim, Mexico and South America.
