The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) Sixth Annual Congress hosted by Crystal City Marriott, March 28-29, 2007...

RESTON, VA, Nov. 28, 2006 -- The theme of The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) Sixth Annual Congress is "Achieving Resilience: From Readiness to Restoration."

It will be held March 28-29, 2007, at the Crystal City Marriott at 1999 Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington, VA.

Event co-chairs are Leonard Kotkiewicz of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Earth Tech's Jack Norris. Giving opening remarks will be Lt. Gen. Carl A. Strock, P.E., USACE commander and chief of engineers and SAME president. The invited keynote speaker is Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

This two-day conference will facilitate discussion of key issues related to the resilience of our nation's critical infrastructure systems, based on the 12 focus areas -- such as Awareness and Understanding of Interdependencies; Risk Assessment and Protection/Mitigation; and Recovery and Reconstruction -- identified in TISP's Guide for Regional Disaster Resilience (http://www.tisp.org/rdr_guide).

In addition to keynote presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in technical sessions and product demonstrations by public and private sector experts, as well as network with other professionals from security-related organizations and agencies. The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) was established following the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, as a national forum for public and private sector organizations to collaborate on issues regarding the resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure against the adverse impacts of natural and man-made disasters, through effective planning, design, construction, and operation.
