Aquatech India supported by Ministry of Urban Development

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, and NEW DELHI, India, Jan. 11, 2011 -- Aquatech India, the largest and most international water technology show in India, received official support from the Ministry of Urban Development of the Government of India. The trade fair will be held in the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, from March 2-4 of this year.

Aquatech India features over 10,000 square metres with some 200 international and national exhibitors displaying the latest innovations on process, drinking and waste water. The event will once again host the conference on Innovative Technologies in Water Sustainability, as well as the second edition of the Utility Leaders Forum, organised by the International Water Association (IWA) and the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA).

Strong industry support
Next to the support of the Ministry of Urban Development, the trade event is also supported by the Indian Desalination Association (IDA), the IWA, the IWWA, the Indian Plumbing Association, the International Water Association (IWA), US Commercial Service and the Water Quality Association (WQA).

Amongst the exhibitors that have already signed up are: Aquanomics, Doshion Veolia, Dow, Everest Blowers, Evergreen Technologies, Eureka Forbes, Fivebro, GE Water, Global Water, Indo German, ITT, Mann+Hummel, Mitsubishi, Nalco, Norit, NSF, Oltremare, Pentair, Praj, Siemens, Techem, UL, Wilo Mather+Platt, Wipro, Woongjin Chemical.

Aquatech India sets the standard
Last year, the first edition of Aquatech India exceeded all expectations. The show was opened by the Minister of Water Resources of India and attracted some 9,500 unique visitors from India and abroad, more than 250 conference delegates and 60 high level CEO's of utility water boards. Next to that, international delegations from China and France came to see the show. A unique mix of municipal as well as industrial water professionals were present and learned about the latest innovations in their field of expertise. The majority of the visitors were from decision making units of their organisations resulting in valuable business conversations on the show floor.
