LAKE MARY, FL, Mar. 22, 2011 -- Through its New Zealand distribution partner and sister organization, CSE W. Arthur Fisher, Semaphore, a CSE Global company, is pleased to announce the successful tender award for an RTU and SCADA System upgrade project in the Water & Waste Water industry for the Super City.

The contract scope includes the supply of 370 remote terminal units (RTUs) over the next 3 years, along with master telemetry units (MTUs), Ethernet UHF radios, and associated equipment. The RTUs will perform monitoring and control of flow, level and pump stations.

Kingfisher RTU products comprise the MTU and RTU equipment. All installations are based on the Kingfisher Plus+ modular system using the CP-30, 32-bit CPU. Essential to the solution are configurations with CPU and power supply redundancy, DNP3 protocol at a Level 3 implementation, and IEC-61131-3 compliant programming.

The Kingfisher RTU line provides an advanced automation platform for SCADA system solutions, including redundant configurations, intelligent I/O, and open programming that is compliant with IEC 61131-3. Kingfisher is also the first RTU product line that is compliant with IEC 61499, the distributed processing and interoperability extension to IEC 61131-3. Kingfisher systems are well suited to large, demanding measurement and control applications that employ central stations.

Semaphore's Kingfisher and T-BOX RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast / telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation and water / wastewater industries.
