Mueller to supply water meters, systems for American Water

ATLANTA, GA, May 7, 2012 -- Mueller Systems, a leading innovator in water meters, metering systems and water management technology, will supply American Water, the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, with water meters and automated meter reading (AMR) systems, as part of a supply agreement between the two companies.

The agreement, which could extend until 2016, enables American Water's customers to benefit from Mueller Systems' portfolio of smart water technology that includes AMR and the Mi.Net™ - Mueller Infrastructure Network for Utilities advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system. Mueller Systems' metering products and systems are designed to be scalable and flexible, allowing utilities to upgrade as needs and budgets permit.
