Wheaton, IL, Sept. 21, 2012 – RJN Group, Inc. (RJN) has begun work on a Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES) project for the City of North Little Rock, AR. The SSES is part of the city’s strategy to meet the requirements of a Consent Administrative Order (CAO) that was entered into with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality.

The SSES will take place over a three-year period with RJN locating defects in the sewer collection system to reduce inflow/infiltration (I/I) and eliminate Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs). RJN’s responsibilities during the SSES consist of field services (such as flow monitoring, smoke testing, dye water flooding, and television inspection), data analysis, reporting and assistance to the city.

By utilizing RJN Online, the city will have the ability to access field data as it is being collected, i.e. inventory data, condition ratings, photographs, etc., allowing RJN and the city to discuss and review findings and identify issues and concerns.

Phase 1 of the SSES will cover the White Oak Sub-Basin Drainage Area which includes 410,000 linear feet and 2,350 manholes of sanitary sewer.
