Wheaton, IL, Oct. 30, 2012 -- The City of Beaumont, Texas awarded RJN Group, Inc. (RJN) a city-wide flow monitoring contract. At the end of September, RJN began the flow monitoring study by installing flow meters at 31 sites and rain gauges at 10 sites. Monitoring will take place for 56 days, followed by a full inflow and infiltration (I/I) analysis. RJN will evaluate the flow conditions, dry weather, I/I rates, and performance of the sanitary sewer system.

Previous city-wide flow studies occurred in 1994 and 2007. During the current study, RJN will be evaluating post rehabilitation successes or failures in certain areas where construction has taken place. RJN will also analyze the flow conditions today versus 1994 and 2007. The study is expected to be completed by January of 2013.
