Wastewater equipment provider Headworks appoints industry leaders to board

Headworks International, Inc. announced the appointment of major industry leaders to its Board of Directors.

HOUSTON, TX, March 20, 2013 -- Headworks International, Inc., a leading global provider of advanced wastewater treatment processes and equipment for municipal and industrial facilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of major industry leaders to its Board of Directors.

Larry Magor has been appointed Chairman of the Board as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr. Magor has approximately twenty years of management experience in the water and environmental sectors. From 1995 to 2011, he served as executive director and then CEO of Biwater Holdings Ltd, a UK-based company that designs, builds and operates water companies, water supplies, effluent treatment and desalination plants, with operations in over 90 countries. During this time, Mr. Magor also held the position of Chairman of Cascal NV, an international operator of water companies that was established as a joint venture between Biwater and Dutch utility Nuon, which was taken public on the NYSE under his leadership.

Debra Coy has joined the Board as a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee. After twenty successful years as a research analyst covering the water industry for Wall Street firms, Ms. Coy launched her own independent consulting business in 2010, Svanda & Coy, a consultancy service providing advice to investors and companies in the water sector. Named a Financial Times/Starmine "Best Brokerage Analyst" in 2008 and 2009 and a Forbes "Best Brokerage Analyst" in 2010 for water utilities coverage, Ms. Coy was responsible for running the leading water conference on Wall Street for more than a decade and was co-organizer of Global Water Intelligence's American Water Summit in 2010 and 2011.

Ian Fagelson joined the board as a non-executive director. He is currently a senior partner in the London office of global law firm Reed Smith. Mr. Fagelson has more than 30 years of experience advising on company law in the public and the private sector, banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Mr. Fagelson is particularly experienced in the area of trans-national corporate and other complex financial transactions, and has advised a variety of companies and their boards of directors in relation to strategic transactions and UK securities law and compliance issues.

Mr. Magor, Ms. Coy and Mr. Fagelson join the existing non-executive directors, Paul Lersch and Susan Farmer, and executive directors Michele LaNoue, CEO and Gerald Seidl, Senior Vice President of the Company. Mr. Lersch and Ms. Farmer are long time shareholders and non-executive directors of the Company.
