MANSFIELD, OHIO, Feb. 1, 2014 -- Gorman-Rupp, a manufacturer of pumps and pumping equipment, recently promoted Scott King to the position of Vice President and General Manager for its Mansfield, Ohio division, where he will report to Group President, Mark Kreinbihl.
King has nine years of experience with Gorman-Rupp and has held previous positions with the company including Director of Manufacturing and Manager of Manufacturing. Likewise, he has a vast experience in manufacturing and engineering for Gorman-Rupp's commercial markets and Engineered Systems division.
King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is also currently serving as Executive Committee President for the Regional Manufacturing Coalition and Vice-Chair of Workforce Partnerships Steering Committee. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for both the Mansfield Rotary and the Mansfield Rotary Foundation.
