Passaic Valley Water Commission has selected the CIS Infinity from Advanced Utility Systems to replace its legacy customer information and billing solution.

CLIFTON, NJ, and TORONTO, ON, March 5, 2014 -- Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has selected the CIS Infinity from Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced), to replace its legacy customer information and billing solution (CIS).

Advanced's first client in the state of New Jersey, PVWC owns, operates and maintains an extensive water system which enables it to provide potable drinking water to about one million people. The water system includes one water treatment plant and 650 miles of water distribution piping. As a large public potable water purveyor, PVWC is committed to providing its customers with safe, high-quality water and service.

PVWC has been innovative in acquiring other water utilities and selling wholesale treated water and also provides customer service operations, laboratory services and maintenance services for a number of other water utilities and jurisdictions. As a utility that seeks to achieve excellence throughout the organization, PVWC engaged in an extensive search for a CIS solution to assist in the accomplishment of its vision, mission, goals, and objectives.

"Our increased demand for data analysis, integration, ease of use, and operational improvements dictated the need for process and system upgrades," said Joseph Bella, Executive Director of Passaic Valley Water Commission. "PVWC's existing CIS could not meet these demands without substantial enhancements. CIS Infinity is the solution we were looking for as it provides the necessary system functionality to meet the requirements of PVWC."

CIS Infinity will replace PVWC's existing billing system and will be integrated to downstream applications such as: GIS, Meter Reading, Lockbox, and PVWC's Financial Software. In addition, CIS Infinity will provide automation in the areas of billing, collections, customer contact, reporting, and security. PVWC is also implementing Infinity.Link, Advanced's customer self-service solutions as well as Infinity.Mobile for mobile service order management.
