A tender has been launched for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaras.

To be built in two phases – stage one will see 111,023 m3/day of capacity built, before the second stage of 154,443 m3/day.

It is hoped that stage one will meet projected wastewater treatment demand by 2030, and the second stage will meet expected demand of 2045.

According to the tender, the works contractor will carry out all civil, building, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation works necessary for the complete construction of the WWTP.

Tenderers are expected to have experience in the construction of at least one drinking water project and/or waste water/stormwater project with a minimum value of €28 million.

Alternatively, at least two drinking water projects and/or waste water/stormwater projects with a minimum value of €21 million each.

Furthermore, tenderers are requested to have completed at least one WWTP with nitrogen and phosphorus removal and with a minimum capacity of 65 000 m3/day average waste water flow rate.
