Israeli fine bubble aeration system provider Mapal Green Energy has partnered with Xylem Water Solutions to assist in the distribution of its aeration technology.

The floating fine bubble aeration (FFBA) technology has been used by UK utilities including Anglian Water, Thames Water and United Utilities.

The FFBA is a fine bubble aeration system but instead of being a traditional sub surface system, instead Mapal’s technology works on the surface. The company claims this makes it “easy to install and accessible for maintenance”.

Zeev Fisher, CEO of Mapal GE, said: “Xylem is one of the UK’s largest solution providers for pumping and process treatment projects in both municipal and industrial markets. The addition of Mapal Green Energy’s FFBA technology to Xylem’s already broad portfolio of products increases the range of solutions Xylem can offer its customers. FFBA technology enables Xylem to widen its focus on industrial effluent treatment and offer alternative solutions for AMP6 municipal projects where there is a requirement for equipment that can be maintained without the need to drain down the tank or lagoon.”
