March 12, 2015 -- A recent successful evaluation at the Eastside Water Treatment Plant in Dallas, Texas, has paved the way for the implementation of technology from Primozone, a Swedish ozone generator supplier, in upcoming water treatment projects throughout the state -- a breakthrough for the company in the U.S. market.
Eastside plant staff have been utilizing ozone as primary disinfectant for many years and thus have extended experience in the field of ozone generation and water treatment. Moreover, they evaluated Primozone's offerings as an option for increasing the capacity of their ozone system upon learning about the company's many ozone solutions.
"We are excited about Primozone's new approach to ozone generation and look forward to further testing their ozone generator under a variety of different operational conditions," said Peter Stencel, senior program manager at Dallas Water Utilities. "So far, we've been very pleased with the performance of the unit; it is user-friendly, and the built-in redundancy is a particularly helpful feature."
The U.S. municipal water treatment market for ozone applications is worth $50 million/year and is therefore a very important market for Primozone. Further, the evaluation has been operated by Ozone Water Systems, Inc., Primozone's partner in the U.S. market, and the installation has been showcased to engineers at many different municipalities throughout Texas.
