RALEIGH, NC, March 20, 2015 -- In an effort to address water conservation and protect limited water resources amid drought, the Etowah Water & Sewer Authority of Northwest Georgia needed to focus on water and sustainable development -- the theme of World Water Day 2015 -- in dealing with aging water infrastructure.
As a solution, the Authority selected the FlexNet™ communication system and iPERL™ meters from Sensus, a clean technology company specializing in smart meters, software and services and communication systems, to improve the quality of life for its customers, community and the environment.
Since deploying FlexNet, the Authority has improved water conservation, enhanced customer service and reduced non-revenue water. The iPERL meters offer low-flow accuracy with high-flow durability. The Authority can accurately read the lowest usage flows, ensuring that it can account for water down to the last drop.
