April 2, 2015 -- Do you have a photo that captures the essence of aging water and wastewater infrastructure? We want to see it! On Wednesday, April 1, WaterWorld officially launched its third WaterShots online photo contest, intended to spotlight various incidents of infrastructure decline across the nation.

Aging infrastructure is a significant issue happening all around us every day. Involving everything from distribution networks underground to water storage tanks on the surface, there are a number of structures affected by varying elements such as time, weather, ongoing use, and others.

The WaterShots contest was created to address these issues of architectural deterioration occurring across the water and wastewater industry today, all while capturing some compelling pictures and encouraging some friendly competition.

The contest will run throughout the month of April. To enter, visit the contest's landing page (here) and upload your photo to our online photo gallery. The voting period will take place April 16-30, where visitors will select which photos they like best.

The top vote-getters will be featured on our Facebook page -- and in the pages of WaterWorld magazine. The winner will even make the cover of our July issue!

In addition, check out our first Watershots online photo contest(here), held May 2013, where we asked readers to send us pictures of unique manhole covers from around the country; as well as our second contest (here), held July 2013, where we asked readers to send us pictures of their wastewater infrastructure in action.
