TWDB approves over $31M in funding for water, wastewater system improvements

The Texas Water Development Board recently approved over $31 million in financial assistance for water and wastewater system improvements across the state.

AUSTIN, TEXAS, Aug. 26, 2015 -- Today, the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved over $31 million in financial assistance for water and wastewater system improvements across the state.

Of this funding, $4,055,000 was designated for three rural projects. Likewise, the financial assistance was allocated to the following areas:

  • $27,310,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Sherman (Grayson County) for water system improvements
  • $400,000 to the City of Fayetteville (Fayette County) for a water well project
  • $2,815,000 to the Port O'Connor Improvement District (Calhoun County) for water system improvements
