Butt fusion machine
McElroy's new, smaller, butt fusion machine, the No. 14 PitBull, offers versatile performance in the trench or outside the ditch. Field-trials prove it is capable of butt fusion of 1 in. through 4 in. (IPS and DIPS) polyethylene pipe. Flexible features include detachable reversible jaws and handle for operation from both sides, and an improved locking cam to precisely lock the moveable jaw. Smoke blower

Screenings washer
JWC Environmental based its Screenings Washer Monster on its proven Auger Monster® and Muffin Monster® technology. The grinder processes captured solids and the auger washes and separates the soft organics from the plastics, paper and other undesirables. The grinding exposes more surface area, allowing the spray water to isolate and clean away more of the soft organics. Dual-manifold wash water systems help break up soft organics for superior washing and separation. The undesirables are conveyed, compacted and dewatered. The removed solids are up to 50% drier, 75 to 80% compacted and cleaner, virtually void of fecal matter. Flocculent, settling aid
IMR offers a replacement for polymers, A.T. 318®, which acts as a physical flocculent and settling aid. The product creates a tough floc that does not fracture in recirculation and conditions the sludge rather than becoming spent at the application point. The product dewaters, condenses and thickens sludge, improves sludge drying time and reduces TSS and BOD, COD, SVI, oil, grease and foam without upsetting pH. Drum adsorption units

Magnetic flowmeter

Shredder

Coagulant optimization
Chemtrac's Treatment Control System model TCS 4000 optimizes coagulant dosage in water treatment plants. The system responds to changes in clarifiers, direct filtration, flotation units, etc., and automatically responds to changes in raw water including flow, turbidity, and color to maintain proper coagulant feed rate. Air diffuser
Red Valve has announced the latest addition to its line of fine bubble aeration products, the Tubeflex air diffuser. The diffuser features a built-in patented Tideflex® check valve that prevents clogging of the header pipe during power outages and routine shutdowns. Stormwater treatment
Stormwater Management's StormFilter treats stormwater runoff using iron-infused media. The filter removes phosphorus from flows averaging 15 gallons per minute per cartridge. High flow flowmeters

Chlorine monitor
ATI's new model A15/79 monitor measures Total Residual Chlorine using a gas phase measurement method that eliminates any contact between the sample and the sensor, to reduce maintenance requirements. The sample reacts with buffer and potassium iodide in accordance with EPA recommended methods. The iodine released by residual chlorine is stripped from the sample and measured using a gas sensor. This eliminates problems from sample fouling. Standard features include digital display of chlorine concentration, isolated 4-20mA output, and programmable alarm relays.
