Back flow preventer

The Flood-Gate from Jay R. Smith functions as a drainage control valve providing closure protection during emergency storm conditions or when a building is shut down. The valve requires no electronics for automatic operation. Sewerage back flow forces trapped air in the line through the valve port and into an expansion chamber, closing the valve.

Flowmeter

The new FM657 Tigermag EP™ flowmeter from Sparling features Mag-Command™, a menu-driven software program for user interface and meter diagnostic package. The flowmeter's high sampling rate provides a stable flow rate signal even with high solids loading or in difficult-to-measure slurry applications. A nonvolatile EEPROM memory chip retains all user-set options and calibration information, and automatically uploads this data to the electronics. A two-line, back-lit display is standard and the unit comes with two user programmable flow alarms. Available outputs include a 4-20 mA or frequency for rate and a totalizer pulse. Communication options include RS-232, RS-485 or Hart®.

Cornell Pumps "FCS" is an immersible motor. A cutting edge concept developed to replace the outdated "Dry-Pit Submersibles". Its basic design is a premium efficiency, inverter duty, P-base or C-face, TEFC motor. This allows for frame mounting as well as close coupled. A "Navy"-style conduit box prevents water leakage up to 30 ft. of submergence for a two-week period. Tandem lip seals, a dished end bell and expeller are used to seal the bottom portion of the motors in the event of a flood. Class F or class H insulation protects against excessive internal heat.

Water, wastewater samplers

GLI/Manning is one of only two water/ wastewater sampler manufacturers offering both vacuum and peristaltic type suction lift technologies. Fluid can be "pulled" by creating suction (vacuum) in the sample tube or it can be "pushed" by a pump (peristaltic) through the tube. Federal and local effluent standards require precise, repeatable sample collection techniques. The samplers help standardize the collection technique and time periods at which samples are taken.
