SolarBee’s new Chlorine Boost System helps improve water quality in potable water storage tanks and compliance with EPA Stage 2 disinfection byproduct (DBP) rules. Designed for use with the company’s water mixing equipment, the portable system boosts chlorinated and chloraminated water tanks with a sodium hypochlorite injection to keep residual chlorine levels optimal. It helps solve nitrification and loss-of-residual problems that occur in up to two-thirds of chloramine-treated tanks. The system is especially effective during warm months when problems associated with rapid growth of ammonia oxidizing bacteria are most acute.
