The Water and Sewer Distributors of America is pleased to be a part of WaterWorld magazine and looks forward to adding to the value you receive with every issue. Whether it is a new product, installation practice, or managerial tool, we hope our articles are insightful and beneficial to the waterworks professional.

Formed in 1979, WASDA is an organization of over 150 distributors and manufacturers of waterworks and wastewater products. The organization's mission is to promote waterworks/wastewater products and services, and to further improve the image and professionalism of WASDA and its member companies. Our vision is to be a valued resource to our members and their customers in the use of products, techniques, and best practices.

WASDA's distribution network covers all 50 U.S. states and Canada. We have the history, longevity and resources to bring you the timely news and information you need on a monthly basis. Whether it is the political pulse from Washington, D.C., regarding the latest in clean water or infrastructure legislation, the newest cutting edge products from our manufacturer members, or management resource tools from our distributor members, we look forward to your interest in WASDA each month.

Our membership is a composite group of waterworks distributors and manufacturers who are large and small, new and established, and public and privately owned. Some are independent or family owned operations that have grown up with the local utility. We depend heavily on the municipal customer and the unique relationship they bring to our business. They are the ones that specify our products for pipe systems and are an integral part of WASDA member businesses. Whether you see representatives from our member companies on a routine basis, at a local trade show, or on a national level, we look forward to our next meeting.

In between the monthly WaterWorld magazine issues, you can visit WASDA's website at www.wasda.com for information about our members, current activities and upcoming meetings. You can also check us out on Facebook; become a fan and let us know what we can do for you!

WASDA continues to thrive despite an extremely challenging year. Evidence of this can be seen from the record attendance our 2009 Fall Meeting & Partnership Forum reached; this meeting is the only one of its kind offering members cost-efficient and time effective opportunities to conduct business. We look forward to subsequent articles in WaterWorld magazine and the opportunity to benefit both the individual reader and the municipalities as a whole, much as we do for our members each day. WW
