High strength MBR
The BioBarrier® HSMBR® (High Strength Membrane Bioreactor) is suited for use in clustered subdivisions and commercial developments for water reuse applications, including surface irrigation. The pre-engineered modules ship installation-ready and fit into both new and existing tank configurations for applications of flows between 1,500 – 9,000+ gallons per day. The system, available from Bio-Microbics, features flat-sheet membranes that use micro-sized pores for physical separation of solids from the wastewater. The system's unique operation sequence requires no complicated backwash functionality and is completely automated using an advanced control strategy.

Insertable valves
Team Industrial Services has signed a licensing agreement to serve as sole supplier of Occlude's "under pressure products" for all industries, including water and wastewater. The product line includes the patented InsertValve, which can be installed on a wide range of water/wastewater lines while under pressure. The cut-in valve conserves water and reduces the risks associated with a shut down. A key feature is the valve's gate wedge. The gate wedge seats on the valve body and not the pipe bottom, helping prevent the wedge from coming into contact with sharp edges of the cut pipe.

Polymer blending
The new Polyfeeder Emulsion Polymer Blending System from Pulsafeeder is specifically designed for use in water/wastewater applications and can handle the diverse mixing requirements of complex emulsion polymers. What differentiates it from other polymer skid systems is its anti-siphon, anti-clog polymer injection lance. The lance effectively separates the polymer from the water interface. The water flow helps close the valve instead of forcing it open, while still being a membrane that can accommodate the occasional solid. This new technology replaces the standard ball and spring checks and eliminates the common pain point of clogging and stuck valves. The system comes complete on a stainless steel frame and is available with three different pump configurations: solenoid; gear pump; or progressive cavity.
