Description:

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) and Integrated Fixed-Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) systems are being considered and implemented with increasing frequency around the globe. This webcast will begin with a brief, general overview of these two process technologies including the fundamental aspects of the systems, specifically: media type, retention screens, aeration system, and key design considerations.

The presentation will compare MBBR/IFAS technology against conventional treatment methods and describe circumstances in which MBBR/IFAS systems are feasible options to consider. Case studies will be used to illustrate innovative applications of the technology in municipal and industrial facilities around the globe. Examples will include plant upgrades, retrofits, and new builds with supporting data. The webcast will conclude with a brief question and answer session taken from participants during the live event.
