VOORHEES, NJ, JULY 20, 2017 -- New Jersey American Water has signed an agreement to acquire the Roxbury Water Company, a family-owned and operated water utility that provides service to nearly 3,900 customer accounts in Morris County, N.J.

"We are looking forward to welcoming residents served by Roxbury Water to our family of customers," said Deb Degillio, president of New Jersey American Water. "Our staff is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and providing the same great level of quality and service that we provide to our customers throughout the state."

Roxbury Water Company began providing service in 1954 and currently serves nearly 3,900 residential and commercial connections in Roxbury Township. Owned by the families of the late John Grabovetz, the late George Grabovetz and the late Paul Dunajchuk, the company has been led by John F. Hosking as president for the past 15 years.
