Company Executive Wins AWWA Fuller Award

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has presented Dr. Andrew Benedek, Chairman and CEO of Zenon Environmental, with this year's George Warren Fuller Award.

The Fuller Award recognizes the service of one of its members with respect to his/her engineering skill, diplomatic talent and leadership. In recognition of Dr. Benedek's distinguished service in the water supply field, Kathryn McCain, AWWA Vice President, presented the award to Zenon's founder, Chairman and CEO.

"Dr. Benedek was selected for three reasons," McCain told an audience at the joint annual conference of the Ontario Water Works Association, a section of AWWA, and the Ontario Municipal Water Association. "For his vision over 20 years ago in seeing a need for products that you and I would need now; his courage in developing those products long before there was the demand; and his leadership in bringing those products to our market, where they have been making a larger and larger impact on the drinking water profession worldwide."

Chosen as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers, the Zenon group of companies operates from nine locations in North America, six in Europe, and one in each of Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
