NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Freshwater Technologies Inc., a company dedicated to effective water treatment systems, has authorized a distributor agreement with Avila Stem S.A. to represent FWTI water products in Costa Rica and surrounding Central America countries.
Freshwater is a newly formed subsidiary of International Development Corp. (IDVL).
Avila Stem's commitment to our chemical free water products will establish an unparalleled opportunity for FWTI to expand our reach. There are several thousand boiler units in Costa Rica alone. Under a previous agreement with IDVL, Avila Stem provided a trial water activation installation at one of the fifty Costa Rican government run hospitals. To date, FWTI has received very positive progress reports with regards to energy savings and environmental enhancement achieved through FWTI's chemical free solution. FWTI anticipates several additional trials to be completed in the next quarter resulting in promising sales opportunities for FWTI.
Max Weissengruber, president of IDVL, stated, "The opportunity could not be better to offer FWTI's industrial and commercial clients an affordable chemical free water activation solution for heating, cooling and processing purposes. Our water treatment product removes and prevents scale, rust and corrosion while increasing energy efficiency. We are confident that together, Avila Stem and FWTI will achieve substantial revenue for the company and its investors through our effective collaboration."
FWTI believes that its focus on effective, chemical free technologies such as ultra violet, ozone and water activation can meet increasingly stringent environmental standards in a safe and profitable manner.
