CHICAGO, NOVEMBER 13, 2016 -- A man discovered trespassing in a Chicago water plant has vanished after being charged with trespassing early last week.
According to a local CBS affiliate, Shahroon Augustine was discovered inside the Eugene Sawyer Water Purification Plant with a duffle bag and a Pakistani passport.
Both the FBI and Homeland security were alerted. Augustine was charged with trespassing, and then vanished.
Authorities say Augustine has previous arrests, including drug charges and a recent trespassing charge for entering the South Side water plant in Chicago.
A spokesperson for the City Department of Water Management did not say how the trespasser gained access to either of the plants.
